Zion–Mt. Carmel Highway: Measure the complete rig, including mirrors and accessories. Combined vehicles must meet limits of 50 ft overall, 26 ft hitch-to-rear-axle trailer length, 7 ft 10 in width, 11 ft 4 in height and 50,000 lb. Vehicles exceeding any limit cannot travel between Canyon Junction and the East Entrance. Watchman remains accessible from Springdale through the South Entrance, subject to campsite fit. Current NPS route rules.
Campground status: Closed public campgrounds may appear for planning, with closure notices in their listing. Check the individual source before travel. Pine Valley Recreation Area is closed for rehabilitation. Pine Valley closure. Te-Ah is included for seasonal trip planning and is clearly marked currently closed.
Boondocking: Hurricane Cliffs camping is limited to marked sites and some cannot accommodate trailers. Gooseberry Mesa is an exploratory area pin; it does not grant permission to camp at the trailhead or on every parcel. Avoid wet unpaved roads and confirm access before towing. Private campgrounds are excluded. Tent-only and group campgrounds are included; check the camping type and access notes.
